Admirals Surge Past Bulls to Reach WOAA Cruickshank Finals
The Southwest Admirals are headed to the WOAA U18A Cruickshank Finals after defeating the Bruce Grey Bulls in a hard-fought three-game playoff series. Behind balanced scoring and steady goaltending, the Admirals captured two of the three games to advance to the championship round beginning March 20th.

The series opened March 6 at Central Huron, where South West earned a 3–1 victory to take an early lead.

Hudson Porter struck early for the Admirals, and Bo Wharton added two goals to seal the win while the Admirals’ defense and goaltending held the Bulls to a single first-period tally.

Bruce Grey responded the next night in Southampton, claiming a 3–1 win to even the series and force a decisive Game 3.

Despite the loss, Admirals netminder Logan Morley kept Southwest within striking distance with a series of timely saves as the team battled through penalties and a physical contest.

Back on home ice March 8th, the Admirals delivered their most explosive performance of the series, erupting for a 7–3 victory to punch their ticket to the finals.

The offense came in waves, but the stability in net from Carter Beddow and Morley throughout the series proved crucial—giving South West the confidence to push offensively and control momentum when it mattered most.

Across the three games, the Admirals’ attack was fueled by several key contributors. Bo Wharton led the way with three goals and two assists for five points, while William Bruinsma added two goals and three assists. Hudson Porter chipped in two goals and two assists, and Evan Hughes quietly drove play with four assists.

With depth throughout the lineup and a reliable tandem in goal, the Admirals now turn their focus to the WOAA Cruickshank Finals beginning March 20.
