Wednesday, Sept. 10 Tryout #3
We welcome all players to the final tryout on Wednesday, Sept. 10 in Hensall.
Hello Parents and Guardians,
First of all, I would like to say thank you to all the players and parents/guardians for taking the time to come out to all of the tryouts we've held so far. I appreciate the commitment.
An update for Wednesday - we tried to get a team to play an exhibition game against us, but have been unsuccessful so far. My plan is to do half drills and half scrimmage in order to provide more time to evaluate the players.
The ice time on Wednesday is scheduled for 9 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. at Hensall Arena. All players who are still interested in playing for U18 B are welcome to that skate for one final evaluation.
I will most likely have someone else on the ice to run the session, so I can watch from the stands and make notes.
Again, if you are unable to make it, or if you are withdrawing, or have signed on with another centre, please let me know asap (
[email protected]).
That being said, I want to reiterate that we would love to have you all back on Wednesday for the final tryout session.
It is my understanding that some of the players are trying out at other centres at the same time. I kindly request updates for your player, as soon as you can, so I can make my final decisions by the end of this week.
Following Wednesday's ice session, I will post updates on the tryout list on our team page, so look for your player's code to find results.
If you don't see an update to your player's code, there may be one or two spots I'm still deciding on, so I would appreciate your patience with me during this time. I am aiming to have the roster finalized by the end of the week.
